I LOVE this time of year…I know I said it before but I cannot help it and have to say it again. LOVE it. A great week…..Beautiful weather. A surprising blast of heat and then cool dewy mornings with bright sunshine. Final crops are coming from the garden, our workload eases some and we move with a little slower pace throughout our days without that underlying urgency of how are we going to get it all done. It sure feels good…Time frees up a bit for “non gardening” activities. We processed grapes to juice, made a final trip to Devil’s Lake for the last dip of the season and made another floral bouquet for a special customer…

Making Grape Juice.

20+ Quarts of pure Concord Grape Juice. Thank you Schick Family for letting us pick.

Final Devil’s Lake Dip of the season.

Last week’s Pretty flower bouquet created in the only spot of sunlight when our power went out! FOCUS!!
Cleanup needs to become a daily duty, and the garlic crop needs to get planted. We laugh as we already find ourselves discussing next season’s crops and the garden rotation.
