We had the best time yesterday in the hoop house! Scott spent the previous 3 days prepping soil, watering and marking beds so we could hit it hard and seed in the early Spring crops. Done and FUN!
We spent the afternoon in the warm sunshine planting 2 types of beets, 2 types of radishes, 3 different green mixes that are sure to be delicious and interesting, and a leafy salad lettuce mix. A few other “surprises” too for the Spring Share as tasty treats.
Our daily duties now revolve around seed starting to keep our rotation on schedule….

Starting fennel in the greenhouse and rocking to Michael Jackson on my spiffy new transistor radio that was a Christmas Gift.
Remember all those onions and shallots and leeks we started 2 Sundays ago???….well they are loving life in the greenhouse! Strong and healthy.
We are also excited that the garden cleared of snow yesterday and we are hoping the frost leaves the ground today….I am going to start looking for our rhubarb crowns to appear.
We have a few Spring Shares remaining for the season and space available for the Summer and Storage too……..contact us if interested.
